Kaylen Lewis was born and raised in De Queen, Arkansas. She studied international relations and Spanish at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. While at the University of Arkansas, Kaylen was a Chancellor’s Scholar, Fulbright Senior Scholar, and on the Dean’s List and Chancellor’s List. After completing her undergraduate degree, Kaylen attended law school at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. She completed law school as an honor graduate in 2012. Kaylen currently lives in central Arkansas with her husband, Patrick, and their two daughters.

Kaylen knew she wanted to pursue a career in the law from a very young age. She always had a passion for helping people and was interested in legal issues. She felt that becoming an attorney would help her pursue those passions.

After graduating from law school, Kaylen started her working in defending Arkansas counties and assisting on employment issues. She found that defending Arkansas’ law enforcement officers and other county officials was interested and very rewarding work. Kaylen loves representing Arkansas’ law enforcement officers and takes pride standing with them.

Kaylen has continued her work defending counties in the county law division at Rainwater, Holt & Sexton. She continues to enjoy her work for the counties of Arkansas every day. Her primary focus has been in civil rights litigation defense and employment issues. She feels fortunate to practice in an area of law that is interesting and changes every day. Kaylen was recently named as one of Super Lawyer 2018 Mid-South Rising Stars.
