Little Rock Car Accident Lawyers Discuss Memorial Day Enforcement Campaigns
Memorial Day is one of the busiest travel days of the year. That’s why the Little Rock car accident lawyers at Rainwater, Holt & Sexton want to discuss one of the most common and preventable contributing factors to injuries and fatalities in car crashes—failure to buckle up.
Arkansas statistics show that 59 percent of the individuals who die in automobile crashes were not restrained by a safety belt at the time of their accident. And as many as 75 percent of people between ages 16-20 who die in Arkansas car accidents aren’t buckled up.
Several agencies and organizations have partnered to bring the Click It or Ticket campaign to the area to raise seatbelt safety awareness. According to the City of Benton, officers will begin strict and saturated enforcement of state and local seat belt laws between May 18 and the end of the month. Officers say they will also be closely watching for drunk drivers during the campaign period.
At Rainwater, Holt & Sexton, we have seen the damage car crashes can cause. That’s why our Little Rock personal injury lawyers remind you to buckle up each and every time you get into a vehicle.
