Recycle Bikes for Kids

Recycle Bikes for Kids puts the Spirit of Arkansas into practice each time it gives a child a bike. The organization works to make sure every kid in the community has the ability to own and experience the joys of a bike. They do this through rebuilding and piecing together old bikes. Hours of work fixing, assembling, and painting goes into each one, but the end goal makes it all worth it.  Bikes are given to children free of charge. They also allow adults to come in and put in volunteer hours towards a bike of their own. For all the work they do to provide a simple joy to the kids in our community, Recycle Bikes for Kids is this month’s Spirit of Arkansas award winner.

Rainwater, Holt & Sexton are partnered with KATV Channel 7 to present the “Spirit of Arkansas Award.” The award is given to local charities doing exceptional work in the community. To be considered for the Spirit of Arkansas Award, a charity can apply here.
