Tendaji Community Development Corporation
Swahili for “Making things happen,” Tendaji Community Development Corporation is doing just that with the children of Little Rock. Founded in 2017, Tendaji is working hard to invest and enrich the education and lives of the children. They have partnered with 24 LRSD and PCCSD schools to assist with around 200 children in their after-school program. Complete with a STEM lab, an arts foundation, a 6-week summer program, and a Reclaiming Scholars Program, Tendaji is not just an extension of school, but they are enhancing what the schools are already doing. We are proud to recognize Tendaji as this month’s Difference Maker as they are reaching the community one child at a time.
