Krystina Barner

Arkansas Disability Attorney

Krystina Barner was born in Los Angeles, CA, and raised in Little Rock, AR. She has always had a passion for advocating for the rights of others. While in high school, she was attracted to a career in law by The Innocence Project–an organization whose mission is to free innocent people who remain incarcerated and to bring reform to the justice system.

After graduating from the University of Arkansas in 2014, she worked as a social security disability and personal injury paralegal for three years where she learned the necessary skills and tools to be the best advocate for her clients. Two of those years were spent working with Rainwater, Sexton & Holt. Barner knew a career in law was the right path for her because it enabled her to devote her life to advocacy and service. She is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

She attended the University of Arkansas School of Law where she served as a Legal Research and Writing Teaching Assistant from 2018 to 2020, and the Treasurer of Phi Alpha Delta from 2018 to 2019. During law school, she worked as a law clerk at the Arkansas Attorney General Office of Leslie Rutledge, where she conducted research on the various elderly abuse and neglect statutes in the United States and made recommendations on how to strengthen Arkansas’ current legislation.

In addition, Barner studied law abroad at Downing College at the University of Cambridge in England, during the summer of 2018 and enjoyed exploring many European countries and learning about their different cultures and history on weekend trips.

Barner graduated law school Cum Laude in 2020. Following graduation, she returned home to Rainwater, Holt & Sexton to work in their Social Security Disability practice because of their dedication to their community and their commitment to being fierce advocates to their clients. She is currently licensed to practice law in Arkansas and California.

Barner attends New Life Church with her family, in North Little Rock. Her favorite Scriptures are Michah 6:8, “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” And Isaiah 1:17, “Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.”

She is an avid Razorbacks fan, loves to travel, go on nature hikes, and attend concerts with friends.
