Camden PD in Honor of L.C. “Buckshot” Smith

L.C. Smith, better known to his friends as Buckshot, has been serving the state of Arkansas for almost 60 years. In a true servant-leader fashion he started working “for free” just because he “liked the job.” After almost 50 years as an officer he tried to retire, but the Camden Police Department asked him to stay on because they just couldn’t let him go. He now mentors younger officers, teaching them to “be polite, treat everybody right.” Smith believes that you can’t treat everyone the same, but you can treat everyone right. At Rainwater, Holt and Sexton we recognize the 58 years of service given by Buckshot to his community and salute him as the hero he truly is.
