A Veteran’s Best Friend

A Veteran’s Best Friend is this month’s Spirit of Arkansas winner for all the work they do with veterans in the community. All too often we hear about veterans with PTSD struggling to adjust to normal life. One way to help those veterans is to provide them with a service dog. This is where A Veteran’s Best Friend comes into play. This organization provides service dogs and assistance in training the dogs for specifically for veterans. That is not all they do. There is also a built in support group that has developed within the organization. Veterans are an integral part of our community and we thank A Veteran’s Best Friend for their work. We are honored to present them with the Spirit of Arkansas Award.

Rainwater, Holt & Sexton are partnered with KATV Channel 7 to present the “Spirit of Arkansas Award.” The award is given to local charities doing exceptional work in the community. To be considered for the Spirit of Arkansas Award, a charity can apply here.
