How Can You Tell if Your Knee Implant Failed?

Why Are Some Optetrak^® Knee Replacements Defective?

Exactech reconfigured its Optetrak knee replacement system to feature a tibial tray with a finned design. However, that design may have reduced the device’s ability to adhere to the surgical cement used during the operation, making it prone to early failure.

Since the first knee replacements were completed with the new design in 2011, the FDA has received several reports and complaints about the knee implant failing and causing patients to experience pain, reduced mobility, and other complications.
