Truck Accident Investigations Can Make a Difference

It’s important that thorough investigations take place every time trucking accidents happen to uncover the contributing factors that led to the crash, which may include driver errors, equipment malfunctions, and defective roadways.

Each of these causes have been listed as possible factors in the Arkansas truck accident investigation taking place in Clinton after a crash occurred that killed two people and injured dozens of others. Reports indicate the collision happened on June 2 on Highway 65 South, near Highway 16 East.

According to Arkansas Matters, a blown out tire on the truck caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. Unable to stop, the big rig then plowed into the rear of several other vehicles. The impact resulted in two fatalities and 19 injuries.

Preliminary reports list the blown tire is likely the cause, but investigators are still working to determine if drugs, alcohol, or other factors may have played a role as well.

The crash highlights how crucial it is to have someone on your side who can interpret evidence collected from accident scenes.
